В XIX столетии запретили устройство кладбищ внутри городов и даже селений, их стали выносить за город. 
Сельские кладбища с самого начала предназначенны для общественного пользования. До широкого развития общественных парков сельские кладбища позволяли гулять, одновременно наслаждаясь скульптурой, ранее доступной только для богатых (прогулка по кладбищу Thomas Chambers (1808-1869). Mount Auburn Cemetery).

Первыми стали заботиться о красоте кладбищ гернгутеры (Гернгутеры (Евангелическая братская община), выходцы из чешских братьев (см. гуситы), которые в 1722 г. из Моравии отправились в Саксонию и обосновались в имении Гернгут. Председателем общины был избран Цинцендорф, владелец имения Гернгут.

Жули Мессерви (Julie Moir Messervy), тот же который проектировал Music Garden в Торонто, сделал проект ландшафтного дизайна для этого кладбища

Дайк-марш

У нас тут радужная неделя, как вы могли понять по одному из моих предыдущих постов

Я обычно на парады не хожу, но в этом году решила сделать исключение.
Сегодня был Дайк-марш, Это парад лесбиянок, транссексуалов и трансгендеров

Первый такой парад прошел в 1992 году в Нью Йорке.

Если изначально дайк-марши были исключительно лесбийским событием, то сейчас они гораздо больше "инклюзивны". В них могут участвовать любые женщины, которые любят женщин, независимо от ярлыков - лесбиянки, бисексуалки, а также транссексуальные или интерсексуальные женщины. Единственное правило, которое остается неизменным - это акция женщин и для женщин.
